Q & A
Do you provide Dinner Music?
DJ & Company will be more than happy to provide your event with dinner music. Before we go into the cost of dinner music, let us share with you some observations we have made over the years…
Most of the time there is no room for the DJ to set up. A lot of DJ’s will say “this is included in your package price.” However if they are not able to set up, you are now paying for something that you can not receive.
- If the DJ is able to set up, no matter where the DJ sets up, the people sitting directly in front of his speakers will be overwhelmed by his music volume. Meanwhile the people sitting furthest away will not be able to hear the music.
- Recommendation: Ask the Banquet facility if they are able to provide dinner music. Most Banquet facilities will provide this to you at no additional charge. Not to mention, the music will be evenly distributed throughout the banquet hall evenly.
- If the banquet facility is not able to provide dinner music, resort to “Plan B.” What’s plan B you ask? Take a boom box with a dinner music CD. Place the microphone from the hall in front of the speakers of the boom box. Problem is now solved. Whenever anyone wishes to make a speech, the music is gone, and when they’re done, the music is back on. It’s a very simple and cost effective way to have dinner music for everyone to enjoy!
How far in advance should we book DJ & Company?
We recommend 6 to 12 months in advance. This will help ensure DJ & Company will have your date still available.
How are the DJ’s dressed?
Men are dressed in dress pants, shirt, and tie. Women are dressed in slacks and dress top. We have noticed DJ’s who arrive in Tuxedo’s are often mistaken for members of the wedding party.
